So, your standing there in line, waiting for your food at a random resturaunt. You can see front line, and some of back line. There’s a sink in the corner. You spot an employee standing there washing his hands. THEN he goes over and makes your food. The first thought that comes through your mind? Probably something like this:

What’s that idiot doing washing his hands over there when he could be making MY FOOD!?!?!

Now hold on now. There are countless food born and not food born diseases and illnesses that you could catch from the products the store sells. Now get this. A good number of those are deadly. That’s right, if your allergic to say, eggs or chicken or anything, it can kill you. And you wouldn’t even know what happened. But that guy/girl trying there best to keep themselves clean? They would. It naws on their consciousness night and day. Well, you think, what’s the worst could happen if that did happen?

Well. Let’s just say there’s a lawsuit against the store. Then there’s an investigation. Then it’s found out that that person was working that day and was not careful with their hand washing? Oh hey guess what, that can mean that they either lose their job, or they could be sued on grounds to be held liable for murder. That’s right. If they don’t wash their hands properly, they could murder someone.

How’d you like that hanging over your conscious every day?

And what about their co-workers? You know, the ones that you don’t see washing their hands. Those that mess with their hair (lice?) before making a sandwhich. Or those that touch their phone (dropped in the toilet? *shudder*). Or those that touched their shoelaces before stepping up to the counter (doggy doo icky). Granted, I’m being a little much on what could be there, but I’ve seen those things done. Guess who makes his food at work when he’s on break? That’s right. Nuggets if you please (or i make my own, just to be sure).

So, the next time you see that employee at the sink while your waiting in line. Or notice odd behaviors from your family members who work in fast food. Don’t be too harsh to judge them.

Do us a favor and instead of thinking:

Gee, I wish that jerk would hurry up and make my food like that one guy did! This place sucks it’s so slow!

Think this instead:

Gee, that guy’s doing his best to save my life over there. Should I say something? Nah, I’ll just be thankful that when I’m done with my food that I’ll be able to eat here again sometime.
